It’s mid-February already! The month has almost flown by and before we know it, it will be St Patricks Day. A day that resonates with the Irish all over the world. A day that millions wear the green and wet the shamrock! Rivers run green, there’s even green Guinness. We are noted for our warmth and open welcome. But besides all this we Irish have made changes. We have so much to offer the visitor besides green Guinness. Our unique scenery, our walks and beaches. Even our weather is loved.

Ireland is also known for having a large community of people working in the arts and crafts sector. These people come from all over Ireland and they make beautiful products by hand. Scarves, candles, Jewellery etc. The arts and crafts sector in Ireland do not get enough recognition for their work. They usually live and work in isolation and have trouble getting their work in front of a large enough audience. That’s where Crafters of Ireland comes into the equation.

We, at Crafters of Ireland, are a support service dedicated to giving exposure to the arts and crafts sector. We use our website and our social media as a platform to showcase their work to a wide audience all over the globe. We are esentially a podium that proudly displays the work of Ireland’s talented artists, designers and craftspeople. This service is now open to Irish and Celtic crafters all over the world. That’s right! You don’t have to be living in Ireland.

Do you make Celtic pottery? Are you a Celtic Woodcarver or weaver? Whatever you craft – If it is Celtic or Irish, you are welcome to come on board with us. If you are interested in becoming a member of Crafters of Ireland, simply e-mail us at craftersofireland@gmail.com.
