Greetings and welcome to the second stop on the adventures of 2022!

This time we are stopping in Allison Park, PA at the Depreciation Lands Museum for an 18th century Children’s Doll Tea!
This is an annual event put on by the Depreciation Lands Museum and is geared at young children beginning at age 5. In this event, the children might enjoy a game, a craft, and some tea and cookies while accompanied by their favorite doll.

The setup is in the tavern at this living history village which provides a wonderful atmosphere for a period event.

This year’s theme was a ‘Miss Manners’ theme and I was a portrayal of ‘Miss No Manners’.

‘Miss Manners’ and I had to do a skit with her behaving as one should at a proper tea and with me completely misbehaving. At the end of the skit, we asked the little girls who was behaving and who wasn’t and why. I will say that the little girls were very observant!
After the skit it was time to serve the tea and cookies, which the girls also enjoyed.

At the end of the event, the girls made dolls out of corn cobs, which was a fun and very unique craft.

Then there was some time for songs before the hour long event was over (and we all had to get home before the approaching snowstorm).
This was a fun second event for 2022 that I was happy to be a part of and there are more events on the path that is the new year to come!
